Our team served as the program and transformation delivery partner for the national rollout of the Australian Defence Force’s (ADF) electronic Personal Inventory Management System (PIMS) within Joint Logistics Command. PIMS, a cornerstone of Defence’s Clothing Rationalisation and Transformation Program, represented a major shift in how ADF member entitlements were managed and applied.

We were engaged from the project’s inception in 2012, beginning with the feasibility study and continuing through the full lifecycle. Our responsibilities spanned every stage of project delivery, including concept development, requirements definition and refinement, solution design, vendor selection, system build and testing, data conversion, business integration, and nationwide rollout. We ensured Defence achieved the intended business benefits by managing each of these phases through to a successful go-live.

Results

Our team played a pivotal role in the national rollout of a fit-for-purpose online clothing solution for the ADF, replacing the outdated paper-based system with electronic clothing records for all permanent and reserve personnel. The project delivered significant improvements, including streamlined entitlement management, online ordering capabilities, and a reduced clothing footprint for Defence’s Joint Logistics Command.
